Yardney Water Filtration Systems has added Filtaworx Automatic Self-Cleaning Screen Filters to its irrigation product line.
The new filters provide protection for drip, micro-spray, sprinklers and golf course irrigation systems. The compact system is simple to install and can be mounted in any position or orientation with minimal space requirements.
The Filtaworx system removes algae, slime and organic contaminants, sand grit and inorganic contaminants with fine mesh filtration to 250 mesh or 50 microns. Eight models with nominal flow rates from 444 GPM to 3,960 GPM are available.
A heavy-duty, 304 stainless filter body provides corrosion resistance in most environments and the durable, self-cleaning mechanism needs little maintenance. It operates at a maximum pressure of 150 PSI, accompanied by a standard hydraulic controller or an optional electrical controller. A variety of screens are available. If damage occurs, sectional screens make for easy replacement of a screen section, instead of the entire cartridge.
“Filtaworx screen filters are one of the more technically innovative self-cleaning filters on the market,” said Chris Phillips, Yardney president. “They combine proven high performance, reliability and economy in a compact, robust design.”
Automatic operation of the self-cleaning cycle begins when a pre-set pressure drop is reached, Phillips said. Fewer moving parts and an enlarged bearing also contribute to field reliability.
In addition to standard assembly, upgrade options include 316 stainless steel housing, an electric controller and high-pressure.
Filtaworx systems are available at introductory pricing that includes a 10 percent discount through June 30.
