Yamaha Golf-Car Company has announced David Willis as its Salesman of the Year, according to the company’s national sales manager of direct sales Brooks West. The announcement was made at Yamaha’s national sales meeting held recently at the company’s corporate headquarters in Kennesaw, Ga.
“David had an exemplary year as a sales professional, exceeding his annual sales goal by 50 percent and excelling in client retention, new business acquisition and daily administrative obligations,” West said. “In addition to all of his professional accolades, David is an even better person…we are lucky to have him.”
Based out of Tampa, Willis actively supports the Florida PGA Sections by co-sponsoring a variety of charity events and PGA sanctioned competitions.
Willis, who has been Yamaha’s district sales manager for central and southwest Florida for the last five years, has an extensive background in the golf industry, having worked at Peachtree Golf Club and Athens Country Club.
Willis earned a bachelor of arts degree from the Grady College of journalism at the University of Georgia. He is engaged to be married in March.
