Woodstream has introduced the Mosquito Magnet Executive trap, a new long-term solution mosquito trapping system that disrupts the breeding cycle of mosquitoes, causing their populations to dwindle over time.
Superintendents can use the Mosquito Magnet Executive trap on their golf course. The trap features Smart Technology, four fuel saving modes controlled via an easy-to-read LCD panel and a large rigid net.
Mosquito Magnet traps work by attracting and capturing mosquitoes and other biting insects that breed at golf courses. Mosquitoes are attracted by the warmth of the breath and carbon dioxide produced by humans. Covering up to one acre, Mosquito Magnet traps mimic human breath, luring the insects by using ordinary propane to produce a continuous and odorless stream of carbon dioxide, warmth and moisture into the air. The patented CounterFlow system, which serves as a highly effective and powerful mosquito trap, then vacuums the mosquitoes into a net. The mosquitoes become trapped and die from dehydration within 24 hours of capture.
The trap is easy to assemble and includes a rechargeable battery, net, octenol attractant and CO2 quick clear adapter to clean the propane line.
