CB Richard Ellis announced that Woods Valley Golf Club in Valley Center, Calif., sold recently for $3.2 million.
Located in San Diego’s North County, the popular 18-hole daily fee golf course opened in 2005. The 163-acre course is part of the 270-home, master planned Woods Valley community being developed by Newland Communities. Home prices in Woods Valley range from $450,000 to $1.2 million.
Jeff Woolson, a senior vice president and managing director with CB Richard Ellis’ Golf & Resort Properties Group handled the sale, representing Newland Communities in the transaction. According to Woolson, the Woods Valley Golf Club sale follows a long-time industry trend.
“Most golf courses today are built as an amenity for a residential community,” he said. “Newland Communities is a successful developer of residential communities and has completed their lot sale program to builders at Woods Valley. Now the new owner has a great opportunity to grow a strong, successful business at Woods Valley Golf Club.”
