Willie Love will be the new head golf professional at Woodland Valley, the Myrtle Beach, S.C., according to the Signature Golf Group.
As one of four children of a military family, Love came to the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base from Alaska in 1971. In 1989 he was introduced to the golf business at the Joe Inman Golf Clinic in North Myrtle Beach giving instruction and selling golf learning systems.
Love apprenticed at DeBordieu Colony Club, the Legends, Beachwood Golf Club and the Country Club of South Carolina before being elected to PGA Membership in 1998. He most recently worked at the Wedgefield Plantation before accepting the assistant professional position at Woodland Valley in February 2008.
