Wittek Golf debuting Eagle Lite at PGA Merchandise Show

Range picker can hold 1,800 balls.

Wittek Golf will introduce the Eagle Lite picker at the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. Part of the Pro Line Series, Eagle Lite is the lightest, most durable picker in golf. It places less pressure and drag on the cart, which translates to greater maneuverability, faster ball picking and valuable time savings.

“Range operators are going to love the Eagle Lite,” said Gene Pruban, co-owner of P&W Golf Supply. “Lite meets might with this picker. We listened to what our customers were saying, especially those at smaller facilities that didn’t have room for full-size pickers. And as a result, we figured out how to put enormous strength into a picker that weighs just 240 pounds. Range clean-up will be a lot faster from now on. This is truly the biggest innovation for pickers in the past 10 years. And they’ll love the price.”

The bearing-free Eagle Light ($1,999.99) is 9 feet wide and holds 1,800 balls. It comes complete with a push bar and mounting bracket, 1 ¼-inch powder coated steel framework, plastic baskets, nylon discs, solid steel posts that help maintain level basket heights, and adjustable axle brackets. Optional durable, white nylon discs are ideal for ranges using soft-covered balls, as they will not scuff the finish off the balls. Other upgrade options include a five gang that’s 15 feet wide and holds 3,000 balls, as well as a front wheel package for more maneuverability.

“I had the unique opportunity to test the new Eagle Lite for a few weeks on our golf range,” said Chuck Tramontana of Park Ridge Country Club. “We have lots of hills and the Eagle Lite had no problem handling our terrain.  It was smooth, easy to control and had no drag.  It made picking so easy it was ridiculous.”
