GCI recently spent some time in the Upper Midwest attending the Wisconsin Turfgrass Field Day at the O.J. Noer Research & Education Facility in Verona, Wis. The annual event attracted more than 200 industry professionals to the research facility, including superintendents from all parts of the state. The University of Wisconsin’s Dr. Paul Soldat, Dr. Paul Koch, Dr. Chris Williamson and Bruce Schweiger, and the Wisconsin Club’s Mike Bremmer were among the presenters, and topics ranged from Precision Disease Management to optimal timing for PGR use. Wisconsin Secretary of Agriculture Ben Brancel even made an appearance and immediately spotted GCI columnist and legendary turfgrass figure Monroe Miller.
