Bloomfield, Conn. -- The town of Bloomfield and Billy Casper Golf announced that Wintonbury Hills Golf Course, a Pete Dye design located near Hartford, will host the 2nd Annual Dwight Freeney Celebrity Golf Classic June 25.
Benefiting the Dwight J. Freeney Charitable Fund, this tournament is open to the public and will support local and regional educational programs that place an emphasis on after-school enrichment activities. Freeney is a defensive end for the Indianapolis Colts. The two-time Pro Bowler and 2005 NFL sack leader is a Bloomfield native.
This event will feature some of the NFL's premier players and coaches, as well as Connecticut sports stars and athletic legends. Among those who have already committed:
