John Thomas is the new head golf professional at Wicked Stick Golf Links, the Myrtle Beach, S.C. Signature Golf Group managed facility. Thomas replaces Darrell Childers who retired after four years in the job.
Thomas attended the San Diego Golf Academy of the Carolinas and worked part-time at Indian Wells Golf Club as a bag drop attendant. After graduation, he was hired by Blackmoor Golf Club as the 1st assistant golf professional.
He stayed at Blackmoor for one year before accepting the 1st assistant professional position at Wicked Stick Golf Links in 2006.
Thomas was elected to membership in the Professional Golfers Association of America in March 2009 after completing the PGA Golf Professional Training Program.
