Troon has been selected to manage Westhaven Golf Club, a private club located three miles from historic downtown Franklin, Tenn. just south of Nashville. Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will oversee the course and club operations at Westhaven.
Open since 2009, Westhaven Golf Club’s 18-hole golf course was designed by Arthur Hills, Steve Forrest and Associates. The golf course is the centerpiece of the Westhaven master-planned community, yet no homes line the course. The core-golf design blends seamlessly with the surrounding hills and ridgelines of western Williamson County.
“Being a core golf course, uninhabited by homes, Westhaven Golf Club provides an exceptional and rare golf experience,” said Bob Barrett CEO of Honours Golf, a division of Troon. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to enhance an already spectacular club through Troon levels of service and proven agronomy practices, while embracing the traditions already in place at Westhaven.”
“Westhaven Golf Club is fortunate and excited to have Troon Privé managing the day-to-day operations of the club,” said Brian Sewell, president, Southern Land Company. “Troon will help take the club to the next level in terms of member experience, service and agronomy standards. In addition, the Troon Privé Privilege program is an added benefit for our full golf members, giving them reciprocal access to other Troon Privé-managed clubs around the country.”
