Western Skies Golf Club has received a face lift at the tender age of 12.
The Gilbert course, including its clubhouse and practice facility, had been in a state of deterioration for several years. Despite the efforts of the staff, the course wasn't able to maintain its luster, much less keep up with the other quality courses.
That began to change last May when Paradigm Pacific acquired Western Skies. Now, after the new owners poured more than $1 million into renovation, Western Skies has returned to being one of the finer affordable golf courses in the southeast Valley.
The Western Skies sports 300 new trees, several design changes, including new bunkers and a new green on the 16th hole, an expanded and improved driving range and a renovated clubhouse.
