Western Golf Properties presents "Take Your Daughter to the Course Week"

A group of courses are supporting the National Golf Course Owners Association's initiative to grow the game of golf.

In an effort to grow the game of golf and expose it to the younger generations, Western Golf Properties will be supporting the National Golf Course Owners Association’s (NGCOA) “Take Your Daughter to the Course Week” July 10-16, 2006.

“It is critical within the golf industry to continually promote participation in the game through a variety of means and activities," says Bobby Heath, president and c.e.o. of Western Golf Properties. As golf becomes more prominent amongst young women, with players like Michelle Wie and Annika Sorenstam, our role is to provide them the tools necessary to drive and maintain their interest. This week is perfect for encouraging family interaction and introducing the game to the younger generation.”

Young women, ages 18 and under, that play golf with an adult or guardian during this week will receive complimentary green fees and a 50 percent discount off their lunch entrées at all Western Golf Properties managed facilities nationwide.

A total of eight courses will be participating in this promotion including Stonewall Golf Club in Gainesville, Va., which was recently honored as one of the “Top 50 Courses for Women” by Golf for Women for the second consecutive year. Other participating Courses include: Falcon’s Fire in Orlando, Fla., Coal Creek in Louisville, Colo., Heritage Eagle Bend in Aurora, Colo., Heritage Hunt in Gainesville, Va., Heritage Ranch in Fairview, Texas, TPC at Valencia in Valencia, Calif. and Borrego Springs Resort in Borrego Springs, Calif.
