West named WingHaven g.m.

The 16-year golf industry veteran joined KemperSports, which manages WingHaven, in 1998.

KemperSports named J.W. West general manager of WingHaven Country Club, a private club in O’Fallon, Mo., situated less than 40 miles west of St. Louis. West has 16 years of experience in the golf industry, the last decade as a KemperSports staff member. 

West joined KemperSports in 1998 and has served as general manager for many upscale properties, including Eagle Knoll Golf Club, Falcon Ridge Golf Course, Hawthorn Woods Country Club and most recently, Chalet Hills Golf Club. 
 
“J.W. has been an integral part of the KemperSports family for more than a decade and has consistently delivered a ‘Best in Class’ experience at the properties he has managed” says KemperSports c.e.o. Steve Skinner. “His leadership and passion for the game will be a great asset to WingHaven Country Club.”

WingHaven is a par-72, Jack Nicklaus-designed course boasting generous fairway landing areas and demanding approach shots. It has played host to several prestigious professional and amateur championships, including Gateway PGA Championship, U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Qualifying, U.S. Amateur Qualifying and the Missouri Amateur Championship. Additional property amenities include three restaurants, two tennis courts, a fitness center and a Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool. 

West is a graduate of Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Mo., with a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing.
