Wallmeyer leaving National Club Association

The longtime private club industry leader was National Club Association president and CEO since 2015.

The National Club Association announced that president and CEO Henry Wallmeyer will leave the organization on June 7. Wallmeyer will move to ClubWorks where he will serve as president and COO.

Wallmeyer joined NCA as president and CEO in September 2015 and his tenure has been marked by significant growth for NCA and the private club industry.

“Henry Wallmeyer's achievements are numerous,” NCA chair Michael Bruni said. “We are very grateful for the impact he has had on the National Club Association and the overall private club industry, especially during the pandemic, as his steady hand helped navigate the turbulent waters we all faced.

“Henry has served NCA members impressively and we will always be grateful for his passion, commitment, resolve and determination. These are unique qualities that shaped NCA, and they will be missed.”

Under Wallmeyer’s leadership, NCA solidified its place as the national voice of the private club industry, significantly growing the organization’s membership. Since 2015, NCA has also doubled its number of corporate partners.

“Serving as the president and CEO of the National Club Association these last six and a half years has been a tremendous opportunity for which I am forever grateful and something that I have loved,” Wallmeyer said. “I’m grateful for the unstinting support NCA’s board of directors has given me, and I'm proud of the team we built. That team will undoubtably assure NCA’s continued success.”

The NCA has advocated for the private club industry in Washington, D.C., for more than 60 years. As the voice of private clubs on Capitol Hill, it ensures that club concerns are forefront when legislative and regulatory issues affecting the industry are being decided. It also provides club leaders with an array of resources on club industry trends, governance best practices, legal and operational matters and ways to strengthen club leadership.
