Victoria Hills takes part in national ‘Patriot Golf Day’

PGA, USGA sanctioned program to support Wounded Warriors, Fallen Heroes foundations.

Victoria Hills Golf Club – the award-winning Ron Garl design at the heart of Victoria Park, a St. Joe community in DeLand, will participate in the inaugural “Patriot Golf Day” on September 1.

Supported by both the PGA of America and the United States Golf Association (USGA), golfers across the country have the unique opportunity to donate $1 to Wounded Warriors, Inc., which will also benefit the Fallen Heroes Foundation supporting families of those who have become disabled or lost their lives in the line of military duty. The goal is for participating facilities to collect a $1 donation from every golfer (in addition to the normal greens fee) in support of both organizations.

“We’re proud to take part in Patriot Golf Day and to support those who serve our country,” says Matt Payne, Victoria Hills head professional. “In addition to the $1 donation, we’ll also be offering 10 percent discounts to service persons playing that day.”
