Vermont golf course offers unlimited golf package

The 2007 golf season tees off with savings at the Gleneagles Golf Course.

The Equinox in Manchester Village, Vt., begins the 2007 golf season with a special rate for golf enthusiasts, the “Unlimited Golf Package.” This special invites golf-lovers to perfect their games with unlimited playtime on the award-winning 18-hole Gleneagles Golf Course, which was recently ranked the # 1 Golf Resort in New England and the # 2 in the Northeast in the December 2006 issue of Golf Digest.

The “Unlimited Golf Package” is available April 29, 2007 through November 1, 2007 and includes:

  • Guestroom accommodations for two for one night
  • Unlimited green fee for two
  • Golf cart
  • Breakfast for two

Rates are based on double occupancy and begin at $329 per room per night, Sunday through Thursday and $429 on weekends (valid April 29 – June 28 and October 21 – November 1).  Rates for June 29 – September 13 start at $469 mid-week and $589 on the weekends.  All rates are subject to tax and resort fees ($20 per day) and are based on availability.  Rates do not include holidays.

The Gleneagles Golf Course at The Equinox, a repeat recipient of Golf Magazine's prestigious Silver Medal Award, has also received praise from Golf Week, where the course was named as one of America's Best.  Built in 1927 by Walter Travis the 18-hole championship-quality golf course combines a dramatic blend of the past and present in a picturesque mountain setting and continues to play an important role in the development of The Equinox as a resort destination. A $3.5 million restoration in 1992 by renowned golf-course architect Rees Jones brought the course to modern standards within the context of Travis’s original routing while following an environmentally-friendly approach.
