ValleyCrest promotes McIntyre

Daniel McIntyre, CGCS, was promoted to general manager of western operations for ValleyCrest Golf Course Maintenance.

Calabasas, Calif. – Daniel McIntyre, CGCS, was promoted to general manager of western operations for ValleyCrest Golf Course Maintenance. In this role McIntyre will have direct operating, sales and profit responsibility for more than 20 courses from Texas to California. He will work with Terry McGuire, general manager of eastern operations, in leading the development and implementation of operating and management systems for ValleyCrest. 

McIntyre has made many key contributions to ValleyCrest Golf Course Maintenance since joining the company in 1999. He began his career with ValleyCrest as superintendent at Creekside Golf Course in Modesto, Calif. McIntyre was later promoted to the position of Northern California regional superintendent. His region has historically maintained high customer satisfaction and over the past year and he led business development efforts by adding 90 new holes of golf under contract, doubling the company’s size in his market.

McIntyre has a bachelor’s degree in entomology and crop services from the University of Wyoming and a turfgrass management certificate from Mt. San Antonio College. McIntyre has been a member of the GCSAA for more than 12 years.
