Valent hires new Florida territory manager

Jerid Wendling joined Valent Professional Products (VPP) as a territory manager in Florida.

Wendling will support horticultural, turf and lawn care professionals throughout Florida with Valent’s line of professional products.

“Valent is known for its diverse product line and commitment to customer service, and I am extremely excited to be joining the VPP team,” Wendling said. “As a former pest control operator with extensive knowledge of the marketplace, I look forward to helping Florida’s turf and ornamental professionals solve problems and achieve their goals.”
 
Wendling has a degree in plant and soil science from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and 17 years of experience in the plant protection industry. Most recently, he served as a territory manager in Florida for Crop Production Services, and previously built a private pest control company in the Tampa area from scratch into a business with 2,300 residential accounts.

Frank Fornari, national sales manager for VPP, said Wendling will be a “first-class” addition to the Valent team.

“As the successful proprietor of a pest control company and a proven performer in corporate sales, Jerid has an ideal background for his new role,” Fornari said. “His intimate knowledge of the local marketplace and first-hand experience will make him an excellent partner for our customers throughout Florida.”
