Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa in Colorado recently became one of a group of Vail Valley lodging properties partnered with Red Sky Golf Club. The partnership will allow guests to play Red Sky’s two courses beginning in September, 2006 for the price of $175 per player.
Red Sky Ranch offers golfers two championship courses, one designed by Tom Fazio and the other by Greg Norman. Each course affords unparalleled natural beauty and will challenge even the best golfers.
“The addition of a golf component is a continuation of our commitment to providing guests with a healthy, stimulating vacation, geared toward their active lifestyles,” says Frank Johnson, VMLS general manager. “Red Sky is Vail Valley’s premier golf club. Providing our guests with the option to play there is something we are proud to offer.”
Red Sky’s Norman course was ranked the No. 1 “course you can play” in Colorado by editors of Golf Magazine in 2004 and 2006. It also ranked No. 24 on their “Top 100 courses you can play” list in 2006. In 2004, Golf Magazine featured the Fazio as Colorado’s No. 4 “course you can play”; it also appeared on the “Top 100 courses you can play” list that year.
Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa is offering a “Red Sky, Yellow Leaves” fall golfing package from now through Red Sky’s close, slated for Oct. 22, 2006. The package price includes a two night stay at VMLS, one round of golf at Red Sky and a spa treatment or dinner at award winning Terra Bistro restaurant, located in VMLS. Prices are adjustable based on length of stay and vary based on choice of a spa treatment, dinner at Terra Bistro or both.
“Golfers should not put their clubs away for the season yet,” Johnson says. “There is still time to visit the Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa, enjoy fall in the mountains and play the Vail Valley’s most spectacular golf course, Red Sky.”
The partnership between Red Sky and VMLS allows guests to golf through the end of the 2006 season and will resume in spring 2007 for the golfing season.
Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa is located 100 miles west of Denver.
