Utah courses increase natural areas

Superintendents, regulators trying to reduce use of water and chemicals.

At Wolf Creek in Ogden, Utah, superintendent Monica Fuit stopped fertilizing and irrigating boundary areas two years ago. The Ogden, Utah, facility is the only Audubon International-certified course in the state.

 

"We wanted to attract wildlife and be an example of what you can do with less water and less chemicals," Fuit said, according to a story in the Salt Lake Tribune.
