United Turf Alliance has announced that its President Tim Zech has resigned and Chairman of the Board Bob Mele has been appointed interim President. UTA markets turf protection products under the ArmorTech and Optimizer brand names exclusively through its members and dealer partners.
“We are grateful for Tim’s seven years of service with UTA and we wish him well,” Mele said.
Zech said of his departure: “My time at UTA was a great experience full of growth for both the company and me personally. I look forward to working with UTA in the future as I have accepted a position with a major supplier to the group, Willowood USA.”
UTA also announced that Aaron Goy has joined the leadership team to fill the newly created position of director of sales and marketing. Formerly the President of ProGro Solutions and founder of Bull Market Turf and Ornamental Inc, Goy brings decades of sales management, marketing and product distribution experience. The new role was created to support the growth of UTA. The corporation plans to add additional leadership to better support its members and dealer partners and explore new market opportunities.
