The United States Golf Association recently announced that the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, N.C., will host the 2010 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship. The event will take place July 19-24, 2010.
The club's Dogwood course, which opened in 1963, was the site of the 1980 U.S. Amateur Championship and has been the host of six Southern Amateurs, seven North Carolina Amateurs and three Carolinas Amateurs.
The 2009 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship will be played at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., from July 20-25.
The championship is open to female golfers who are 17 and younger and have a USGA Handicap Index that does not exceed 18.4.
