Twisted Dune hosts Atlantic County Harley-Davidson tournament

Proceeds from the event, held in Egg Harbor Township, N.J., benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association

Twisted Dune Golf Club will play host to over 100 golfers Oct. 11 for the first annual Atlantic County Harley-Davidson Golf for Life Tournament to benefit The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

The tournament is open to individuals and businesses who are interested in spending the day playing golf, while helping in the fight to conquer over 40 neuromuscular diseases that affect over one million Americans of all ages.

Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. with a best ball/shotgun start 10:30 a.m. Donation is $150 per golfer and includes a breakfast buffet, barbecue lunch, awards and prizes as well as the chance to win a 2008 Harley-Davidson Night Train motorcycle - a $17,000 value. Donations are tax deductible.

"We welcome local golfers and the business community to take part in this fun and worthwhile event," said Scott Dunn, Twisted Dune general manager.  "What better way to spend a mid-October day than golfing on our phenomenal course, enjoying the camaraderie of friends and knowing your contribution is going toward a great cause."

The event is being held in conjunction with Harley-Davidson's Ride for life, which also benefits MDA.

"This event is all about having a great time - we will have several surprises on the course to make this a very memorable and relaxing day," explained Ben Petrovic, Golf for Life co-chairman.
