Target Specialty Products announces Part 5 of the Turf Fuel Master Class webinar series

Trio of superintendents will discuss the impact of COVID-19 on operations in a free event Thursday, April 16.

Target Specialty Products has announced Part 5 of the Turf Fuel Master Class, a Business Growth Webinar Series, will feature a panel conversation with golf course superintendents to discuss adjustments made because of COVID-19. The free webinar begins at 9 a.m. PDT on Thursday, April 16. CLICK HERE To register.

“Since this pandemic started to impact North America in mid-March, our superintendent customers have been sharing their thoughts and concerns with our sales representatives,” Target Specialty Products President David Helt said. “This webinar will be an interesting forum to share these thoughts publicly.”

Panelists include:

Kyle Barton recently started his tenure as superintendent at Naperville Country Club outside Chicago. He recently won the GCSAA Grassroots Ambassador Leadership Award. As golf courses are closed in Illinois, Barton is conducting minimal course maintenance during the COVID-19 crisis.

Ken Bruneski has been the superintendent at Nk’Mip Canyon Desert Golf Course in Oliver, British Columbia for 14 years. He is currently the British Columbia director of the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association. Golf is currently allowed in British Columbia, but Nk’Mip Golf Course has voluntarily closed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ian Daniels is the superintendent at Teugega Country Club in Rome, New York. Daniels is a GCSAA Grassroots Ambassador. New York State recently prohibited golf courses from allowing play.

“We are thankful for the opportunity to have a public discussion with these professionals about the very difficult situation we are in as an industry,” Turf Fuel business manager Mark Jull said. “The webinar will hopefully help attendees get new perspectives on how their peers are handling the crisis.”
