Troon selected to manage Tiburón Golf Club

Naples, Fla., facility hosts PGA Tour and LPGA Tour players.


Troon has been selected to manage Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Fla. Tiburón, which is Spanish for shark, features two 18-hole, Greg Norman-designed golf courses, the Gold and the Black. Tiburón Golf Club is home to the PGA Tour's Franklin Templeton Shootout and the LPGA Tour’s CME Group Tour Championship.

Tiburón’s Gold course opened in 1998 and the Black course opened in 2001. The semi-private club has 260 golf members and is home to the Impact Zone Golf Academy which features private lessons, multi-day golf schools and junior camps. In addition, Tiburón’s 27,000-square foot Mediterranean-style clubhouse features three dining rooms, private member locker rooms and lounge areas, as well as an award-winning golf shop.

“The opportunity to manage a tremendous property such as Tiburón is very exciting,” said Mike Ryan, division president, Troon. “Our Troon management team will now look to further elevate Tiburón in the areas of agronomy, club operations, marketing and food and beverage operations. Tiburón has been designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International and strives to protect and enhance its natural surroundings.
