The Tribute, a Tripp Davis and Associates course in The Colony, Texas, was ranked No. 73 on Golf Digest’s list of Top 100 Public Courses in America.
Inspired, but not copied, from the Scottish links-style courses, The Tribute has been opened less than five years.
According to Jack Matthews, president of Matthews Southwest, the course was built as a collection of holes that worked in harmony to create an overall golf experience.
“As important as it is to develop a unique concept that will attract people, it is of far greater importance to back that up with a great product,” he says.
Tripp Davis and Associates and Matthews Southwest will work on a second course at The Tribute. Construction documents are currently being completed.
