Bobby Jones Links announced it has been selected to manage Travis Pointe Country Club, a member-owned private club in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Travis Pointe represents the company’s first managed club in Michigan and the third addition to its portfolio in 2023.

“Travis Pointe’s amenities and championship golf course are second to none in the Ann Arbor market, and we look forward to engaging the membership with fresh ideas and programming to elevate member satisfaction,” said Doug Hellman, president of business development. “We’re excited to be working with the board and on-site team to elevate member lifestyle programming and introduce our signature Jones University Service Training program to enhance the value proposition of membership.”

Other key areas of Bobby Jones Links’ focus are improved membership communication, board governance and onboarding, establishing performance KPIs, and leadership development.

“The search committee explored numerous options, including maintaining the status quo and hiring a general manager as we’ve done in the past,” said Gary Chatell, board president of Travis Pointe Country Club. “We did extensive due diligence when vetting Bobby Jones Links for this partnership. Their references were extremely positive, and their boutique size gave us confidence that our club wouldn’t be just another client in their portfolio.”

Travis Pointe Country Club was established in 1977 and features a par-72, 7,326 yard, 18-hole Bill Newcomb-designed golf course that has hosted numerous LPGA, USGA and PGA events and qualifiers.
