Tour GCX Partners – golfers’ passport to access private clubs worldwide –
announces that Jim Furyk will endorse its membership program.
Winner of 13 PGA Tour events, including the 2003 U.S. Open, Furyk will be featured in Tour GCX promotions. He currently touts the benefits of TOUR GCX membership on www.tourgcx.com.
“If you can’t make it on the PGA Tour, the best way to play private golf is with the Tour GCX card,” says Furyk. “Its collection of courses will greatly impress customers, friends and family. I’ve been watching TOUR GCX since they launched and am proud to be associated with such a forward thinking, entrepreneurial, progressive company that has thought outside of the box to help grow the game of golf."
A five-time Ryder Cup player, Furyk is eighth in the Official World Golf Rankings. One of golf’s most consistent performers who’s known for his short-game wizardry and clutch shot-making, he stands fifth in all-time earnings on the PGA Tour.
"We are proud to be working with Jim Furyk,” says David Kaufman, President of TOUR GCX. “Any time you can associate yourself with a person who is consistently one of the best in the world in their field, you jump at the chance. Jim’s professionalism, consistency and extraordinary accomplishments are attributes that we as a company continually strive to achieve.”
Launched in 2004, Tour GCX members purchase a pre-determined number of golf rounds which can be used at any private club in the Tour GCX network. Individual and corporate members sample the private experience without making the traditional long-term social and financial commitments associated with joining a private golf club. In addition to playing golf on a variable basis, Tour GCX members have access to single-day member / guest outings and tournaments. Individual memberships start at $2,450 annually and membership fees cover cart and greens fees for Tour GCX members and their guests.
Corporate members have a convenient and flexible solution to entertain customers at private golf clubs. Tour GCX also affords corporate members the opportunity to allocate pre-purchased golf rounds toward custom mini outings for up to 32 players. Tour GCX’s member roster includes small business owners and executives from companies such as AIG, MasterCard, Merrill Lynch, Sprint, ESPN and more.
The Tour GCX course portfolio is highlighted by two former PGA Championship hosts and one past Ryder Cup site. From classic, tree-lined layouts to seaside links, works from noted designers Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Robert Trent Jones, Jack Nicklaus, A.W. Tillinghast and others are among Tour GCX members’ choices.
“Tour GCX is ideal for golfers who have young families or are too busy to regularly play,” says Kaufman. “We offer affordable access to stress-free, private club golf, where putts roll true and four-hour rounds are customary.”
