Toro is first major Virtual Trade Show partner

The IGCEMA-sponsored VTS provides “global access” to reach customers, Toro says.

The Toro Co. has become the first major partner of the golf industry’s first Virtual Trade Show, which is being hosted by the International Golf Course Equipment Managers Association starting on March 18.

Toro has signed on as a gold-level sponsor, according to Stephen Tucker, equipment manager at the Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla., and developer of the VTS.

“This commitment demonstrates The Toro Co.’s leadership and continued support of the IGCEMA and its initiatives,” Tucker says. “The VTS is going to be an exciting event for the golf industry around the world. We believe that this will give others who, for whatever reason, might not be able to attend a physical trade show, the opportunity to learn about what is new in the market and to experience it in a virtual trade show environment.  We are confident that other companies will also recognize this unmet need and participate as well”.

Bob VandenBoom, Toro’s senior marketing manager for golf, says participation in the VTS reflects the fact that investment in education is a top priority for Toro.

“While a Virtual Trade Show will not take the place of our involvement at key tradeshows like the Golf Industry Show, it does clearly represent an opportunity for Toro to reach many of our valued customers who cannot attend the show in a very cost effective – and interactive way,” he says. “It also provides more global access to exciting new product or service innovations that can save time, money or provide environmental sustainability benefits.”
