Toro honors scholarship recipients

Recipients of the 2008 Toro Golf Enterprise Management Scholarship were honored at the Stout University Foundation Scholarship Awards Ceremony, held Sept. 13.

Recipients of the 2008 Toro Golf Enterprise Management (GEM) Scholarship were honored at the Stout University Foundation Scholarship Awards Ceremony, held Sept. 13. The Toro Co., through the Toro Giving Program, provides scholarships to students in the Golf Enterprise Management program at the University of Wisconsin – Stout. The program is specialized for GEM, with a curriculum that integrates essential courses to better manage the business of a golf course.

“We are proud to support students pursuing a Golf Enterprise Management (GEM) bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin – Stout,” said John McPhee, director of golf marketing and services at Toro. “The U of W-Stout program educates students on the business of golf, which helps build a strong foundation for their future and further strengthen the golf industry.”

Charlene Smith, Scholarship Coordinator at the Stout University Foundation, Office of University Advancement was also present to honor the students.
