Toro continued its longstanding support of the National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation, an annual campaign presented by the Wyland Foundation that inspires communities across the United States to embrace sustainable water practices. Now entering its 15th year, the challenge empowers residents to make small, everyday changes that collectively yield powerful benefits for the environment and communities.
From April 1-30, residents are invited to visit mywaterpledge.com and commit to simple water-saving actions. Participants can track their localized impact in real time using the new Impact Insight Tool, which reveals how their choices can positively affect water quality, infrastructure health and even the cost of living in their area.
“Efficient water use is a responsibility we all share,” said Edric Funk, group vice president for Golf, Grounds and Irrigation at The Toro Company. “By supporting the Mayor’s Challenge, we’re proud to encourage households, schools, and businesses to discover how small changes can lead to big impacts—starting right in their own backyards.”
Residents who take the pledge will be eligible to win a variety of eco-friendly prizes —including water-saving products from Toro, utility bill assistance and other rewards. Cities with the highest participation rates will earn national recognition as America’s most water-wise communities.
