The Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA) has announced the upgrade of three of its members.
East Coast Shaping of Dalton, Mass., JonesPlan of Tulsa, Okla., and Landirr of Orlando, Fla. all have been elevated from Associate Builder Members to Builder Members after meeting the designated qualifications.
The GCBAA has different levels of membership starting with Builder Applicants, followed by Associate Builders, Builder Members and Certified Builders. Each level has a unique set of requirements and qualifications designed to identify and recognize members who continue to strive to improve their professional standards and customer satisfaction. East Coast Shaping, JonesPlan and Landirr achieved Builder Member status by holding the general contract on a minimum of three golf courses within the last five years.
East Coast Shaping was established by Jim Basiliere, a self-described "pro-shaper". The company is based in Dalton, Mass., but operates as far west as Ohio. It offers a multitude of golf course construction and renovation services. The goal of the company is to help shape the future of the sport of golf.
Founded in 2003, JonesPlan has grown to become the resource for golf course construction and renovation in the Oklahoma area. President Justin Jones strives to make sure every member of the team is committed to providing the highest level of quality, attention to detail and client satisfaction.
Based in Orlando, Fla., Landirr specializes in new construction, renovations and irrigation systems. Established in 1985, Landirr serves the southeastern United States and the Caribbean. The company also provides management, grow-in and shaping services.
