The Pocono Mountains Vacation Bureau today announced that The Resort at Split Rock in Lake Harmony has opened its 15,000-square-foot clubhouse at Split Rock Golf Course and Country Club.
The new clubhouse boasts a full service restaurant and bar overlooking the golf course with panoramic views of the mountains, a pro shop stocked with everything a golfer could want and men's and ladies' locker rooms.
"The building will be the focal point for many of our tournaments and outings and can seat 150 utilizing the outside patio," says Shelly Lutz, director of marketing at The Resort at Split Rock. "We are also constructing a large patio in the rear of the clubhouse that will be able to handle larger groups for lunch or dinner and a new putting green in front."
Split Rock offers 27 holes of sinewy golf set amid lush landscaping and mountain forest. By 2008, four new nine holes are projected to be complete.
The Resort at Split Rock is a member of the area's golf destination in northeastern Pennsylvania with the slogan, "Pocono Mountains: Discover Golf's Great Destination Secret."
