The Care of Trees Arborist Matt Doiron is joined by youngsters with the First Tee of Metropolitan New York at Mosholu golf course in the Bronx. The Care of Trees donated its services to educate youth of the First Tee program of Metropolitan New York on the importance of trees and how best to maintain them.
The youth participated in a classroom session followed by a hands-on field walk to identify key tree species located on the Mosholu Golf Course grounds.
The First Tee program provides young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop life-enhancing values such as confidence, perseverance and judgment through golf and character education. Visit www.thefirsttee.org for more information.
