Don E. Vance has been named golf general manager of Tennessee National Golf Course. Vance comes to Tennessee National from The Country Club of Mobile in Mobile, Ala. where he served as the general manager/chief operating officer. Before that he served at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club and Signature Golf International in Orlando, Fla.; Mountain Air Country Club in Asheville, N.C.; and Tournament Players Club in Ponte Vedra, Fla.

Vance received a Bachelor’s Degree in hotel and restaurant administration from the University of Missouri. He also holds the designation of Certified Club Manager through The Club Managers Association of America of which he is an active member. In the past, Vance served as an adjunct educator at the University of West Florida, University of South Alabama and Auburn University. He is also a former faculty member and instructor for the PGA of America’s Business School and has taught worldwide for the development and certification of PGA professionals.
As Tennessee National’s Golf general manager, Vance will be responsible for overall administration of the golf club. His core responsibilities include employee recruitment, designing training programs, overseeing the food and beverage operations to ensure consistent quality and assuring that all club amenities and facilities are maintained to a high standard of excellence. Vance will also play an active role in the Loudon community through various civic and community groups.

"My staff and I will be devoting all of our time to preparing for the club’s Grand Opening later this year.
