Tennessee National Golf Community general manager Scott Pasolli announced that Adam Foegen was promoted to director of golf operations. With over eighteen years of private club experience, Foegen held the title of Head Golf Professional at Tennessee National since August, 2006.
As Tennessee National’s director of golf, Foegen will be responsible for the overall management of the Greg Norman Signature Golf Club. His responsibilities will include employee recruitment, designing training programs, overseeing the food and beverage operations to ensure consistent quality, coordinating outings and tournaments and assuring that all club amenities and facilities are maintained to a high standard of excellence.
Foegen came to Tennessee National from Mediallist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Fla., also a Greg Norman designed golf club, where he was responsible for all golf operations.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to grow a club like Tennessee National. My staff and I are fully aware of the quality and service standards that have been set by Greg Norman, and we intend to meet and exceed standards,” Foegen says.
Foegen replaces Don E. Vance who joined Tennessee National in 2006 to coordinate the initial development and launch of the club operations. Vance has a long history of launching new golf clubs including the Gettysvue Golf and Polo Club in Knoxville.
“We want to thank Don Vance for his valuable contributions during the launch of Tennessee National’s Club operations. Don’s knowledge of golf and private club operations helped in the implementation of the superior service and amenities expected from a Greg Norman and Medallist Developments golf club and community,” Pasolli says.
The Greg Norman-designed golf course and Medallist community is located off Highway 72 in Loudon. The community will feature 1,750 residential units, including waterfront homes, home sites, town homes and waterfront condominiums, to be phased in over an eight-year period. The golf course features a unique design and distinctive characteristics including stacked sod-wall bunkers, a sub-surface green aeration system, Aussie Green Bermuda Grass, A-1 Bent Grass, 13 man-made lakes and native stone bulkhead walls and spillways.
