Troon announced it has been selected to manage Teleli Golf Club in Sonora, California. Indigo Sports, a Troon company, will oversee golf operations, agronomy, and sales and marketing for the daily-fee golf facility.

Located on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in the historic gold rush town of Sonora, Teleli Golf Club opened for play in 1990 and was designed by Robert Muir Graves. The 6,559-yard course is a par 72 and features rolling fairways and large greens.

Teleli has been owned by the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians since 2019 and serves as an amenity to both the Black Oak Casino Resort and the community. The name Teleli is from the Me-Wuk language and translates to Black Oak.

“We at TEDA are excited for what the future holds; this newly formed relationship is going to help benefit the community as well as the golf course. There are many good times to come,” said Darryl Tinkle, president of the Tuolumne Economic Development Authority.

In addition to the golf course, Teleli Golf Club also has a practice range, multiple practice putting greens, a fully stocked golf shop and the West Wind Bar and Grill.
