Potential for Microdochium Patch
With the predicted cool temperatures and the potential for wet conditions this week for most of the Midwest and northeastern United States, Microdochium patch (syn. Fusarium patch, pink snow mold) could become active. Microdochium patch initially will appear as small, water-soaked spots. These spots can rapidly grow in diameter and change in color to an orange brown to a dark reddish color. If you have been treating for dollar spot this fall, you might consider using a fungicide that controls both dollar spot and Microdochium Patch.
