Mole cricket tunneling coming
Mole crickets spend most of their life underground. During the winter they dig deep burrows to overwinter. When soil temperatures warm during March and April and night temperatures approach 60 degrees Fahrenheit, their tunneling and feeding increase. Tunneling during this time can become quite obvious and disruptive to putting greens. Tunneling should occur shortly in southern Florida and progress northward as spring approaches.
