Target Specialty Products has made two additions to its golf team. Pete Bowman recently joined Target Specialty Products’ sales team, and Rudy Zazueta is Target’s newest golf account representative for the southern California market.
Based out of Target’s West Sacramento branch, Bowman will focus on golf courses in Northern California.
Bowman has an extensive background in the golf industry having worked as a territory manager at UAP Professional Products, a sales representative at Sierra Pacific Turf Supply, and a golf course superintendent for several golf courses.
“Pete’s background in the industry, and experience as a golf course superintendent, made him the ideal candidate to facilitate our expansion into the golf market in northern California,” said Casey Brierley, vice president and regional manager.
Bowman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
He is a member of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, and currently serves as an affiliate representative of the GCSAA’s Northern California Chapter. In addition, he is a past president of the GCSAA’s Sierra Nevada Chapter.
Also a native of the West Coast, Zazueta has over 24 years of experience working with golf courses and landscape companies. Before joining Target, he worked in distribution calling on the golf course and landscape markets. Previously he worked as a golf course superintendent at Desert Willow Golf Resort and Indian Ridge Country Club in Palm Desert, Calif.

Zazueta is a Certified Arborist, Qualified Applicator, and a licensed Pest Control Advisor.
