Suunto, the world leader in precision sports instruments, has reached an exclusive distribution agreement with ForeFront, formerly known as Datrek Miller International (DMI). Under the agreement, ForeFront will promote and distribute the complete line of Suunto wristop golf computers including the Suunto G6, golf’s first wristop launch monitor. ForeFront has more than 50-plus years of experience.
ForeFront will now actively sell Suunto’s golf line to green grass shops, pros and golf specialty stores. With over 7,000 existing accounts, ForeFront’s current foundation of golf contacts will create awareness, visibility and points of sale for Suunto’s golf products.
“Suunto is recognized as being the leading wristop computer for diving, sailing and mountaineering,” explains Suunto North American general manager Mike Dowse. “With ForeFront’s help and distribution, we hope to do the same with our golf line.”
ForeFront will be distributing the Suunto G6 and Suunto G6PRO golf wristop computers. Seen as a technological turning point in golf training and education, the Suunto G6 was released last spring after two years of research and development. Heralded as golf’s first wristop launch monitor, the Suunto G6 monitors tempo, rhythm, backswing length and club head speed with each stroke—providing instant feedback that allows golfers to feel and repeat the perfect swing.
“We are excited to add the Suunto G6 to our portfolio of products that we offer to the golf industry,” said Michael Hedge, ForeFront chief executive officer. “This product has received tremendous exposure and we are confident we will be able to leverage our relationships with golf specialty stores and on-course pro shops to successfully place this product.”
