SubAir Systems, LLC has acquired TurfBreeze Fans.

SubAir Systems, a leader in sub-surface aeration technology, uses a patented process invented by Augusta National superintendent, Marsh Benson to enhance play by providing ideal growing conditions for turf on golf greens and sport fields. Additionally, SubAir Systems offers hydronic systems to control turf temperature as well as sensors.

TurfBreeze Fans was founded by Tom Michaels in 1998 and is based in Birmingham, Ala. The company offers a variety of fan sizes that are known for long throws, quiet operation and durable mechanical design. Greens fans are beneficial to turf because they improve ventilation and reduce surface temperatures.

“The acquisition of TurfBreeze Fans is a great fit as it positions our company as the leader in air movement above and below the surface of the turf,” Mike Corwon, c.e.o. of SubAir Systems, LLC says. “The technologies are complementary and give us the opportunity to provide complete solutions to our customers needs.”

Michaels will continue to work with the company generating sales and overseeing the TurfBreeze product line.
