The UK-based company Stewart Golf plans to double the number of X3R golf cart units in production to keep up with the demand and will also introduce its new F1 Lithium to the market next year.
The company has recognised the Canadian market as a core target area where golfers are eager to see the new powered golf cart and employed marketing specialist Joseph McLuckie to promote the cart to the market.
With this is mind the cart manufacturer is looking to launch the new F1 Lithium to the Canadian market at the start of 2009.
“The Canadian market is a mature one when it comes to electric golf trolleys, but it has not seen any new or innovative products introduced within the last seven to eight years," McLuckie said. "The Canadian consumer is also predisposed to buy products made in the UK, so when we introduced the X3R, it was seen as a breath of fresh air. We'll be taking it to the 2009 Toronto Golf & Travel show and we are confident it will be the show stopper.”
The F1 Lithium has been so well received in the UK, the company has already exceeded its first year’s sales predictions and is looking forward to taking the cart to America and Japan as well as new target audiences.
“The reaction the X3R has received in Canada has been better than we could have imagined and far exceeded our expectations," said Mark Stewart, managing director of Steward Golf. “Because of this we have decided to double our first year’s number for production, and we intend to introduce the F1 Lithium to the rest of the world at the start of 2009."
“We hope to be supplying America with X3Rs and F1 Lithiums soon and based upon the success of the UK and Canadian markets we are confident they will be well received,” he added.
