Loomis joins the Cary, Ill., public course from Heron Glen in Flemington, N.J., another KemperSports facility.

KemperSports recently named Steve Loomis general manager of Chalet Hills Golf Club, an award-winning public course in Cary, Ill. Loomis brings more than 15 years of management experience to his new assignment, having served as general manager and director of golf at several championship-caliber golf facilities.

Loomis joined KemperSports in 2002 and has worked at courses such as Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, Calif., and most recently at Heron Glen Golf Course in Flemington, N.J., where he served as general manager and received multiple customer service honors.

Loomis is a graduate of Methodist College in Fayetteville, N.C., with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Professional Golf Management, and has been a PGA Class ‘A’ Member since 1996.

“Steve has been a part of the KemperSports family for more than eight years and has consistently delivered a best in class experience at the properties he has managed,” says KemperSports c.e.o. Steve Skinner. “His passion for the game will be an asset to Chalet Hills.”

The course, designed by architect Ken Killian, has been honored by Golf Digest with a four and half star rating, was named as one of Golf Digest’s Best Places To Play in 2006-2007 and was rated No. 5 in the state of Illinois by the 2003 Zagat / ESPN Survey of Best American Courses.
