Standard Golf launches new site

The Web site is designed to be an interactive community for golf course superintendents.

Going away from the traditional product-only Web site concept, Standard Golf has launched its new site designed to be an interactive community for golf course superintendents.

"We understand our customers and the value they place in networking with their peers as well as ourselves," Standard Golf Vice President Matt Hurley said. "The Standard Golf Web site still provides important and detailed product information, but we wanted to go beyond that and provide great opportunities to exchange ideas."

The forum section on the site encourages conversation exchange. Some of Standard Golf's experienced staff provide useful tips and answer questions submitted by forum participants. The forum also offers the opportunity for golf superintendents around the world to exchange their own ideas and thoughts regarding the industry.

Visitors are given other interactive opportunities at standardgolf.com. They can buy and sell equipment at the "For Sale" section. They can also go to the product description and specification sections and actually rate the products.

"It's a destination our customers will benefit from and enjoy," said Hurley. "We currently have a promotion for first time registrants at the site by placing their names in a weekly drawing for $100 of Standard Golf products."

In addition there is a section on standardgolf.com where the 2009 product catalog and newly introduced Green Line products catalog can be downloaded as PDFs. Parts manuals and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) can also be downloaded.

Standardgolf.com also includes a distributor finder to help locate distributors all around the globe.
