Southport, N.C. – St. James Plantation continues to post record sales, even trumping 2004’s success with more than $56 million in total sales, up 51 percent from the same period last year, with 355 transactions completed.
Adding to the midyear milestone, St. James Properties, the developer’s resale company, contributed $28 million of the total $56 million in property, home and boat slip resale sales.
“Momentum generated from our ongoing marketing efforts is fueling sales,” says Dan Shiels, vice president of sales for St. James Properties. “Our success is indicative of the appeal of our coastal community and the value St. James real estate offers prospective owners.”
In April, the developers of St. James Plantation hired Troon Golf to oversee its club operations. The community also celebrated the grand opening of The Players Club, a Georgian-style, 8,500-square-foot clubhouse. Sales continue to be bolstered by the development of The Reserve, St. James’ newest neighborhood. The Reserve is surrounded by a championship-caliber 18-hole Nicklaus Design course, opening next spring.
