Spring Valley has a new hire in the company’s sales and marketing department: John Sergi joins the organization as the sales and marketing manager.
Spring Valley is a 60-year-old, family-based fertilizer and ice melt manufacturer based in Jackson, Wisconsin with facilities in Fostoria, Ohio and Reading, Pennsylvania.
Sergi brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience. He cut his teeth in the industry as a district sales manager with Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, then became the sales director of mass merchant accounts for The Liquid Fence Company where he managed retail accounts like Lowe’s and The Home Depot. Sergi recently worked for the W. Atlee Burpee & Company as national sales manager and oversaw the regional manager sales team and internal retail support team.
“We’re excited to have John’s experience in the fertilizer industry, his background in managing sales in retail and overall skills as a team leader,” Spring Valley CEO Bill Vogel said.
