SouthWood to host ladies championship

SouthWood Golf Club will host the inaugural Grove Park Ladies Match Play Championship November 9 and 10.

Tallahassee, Fla. - SouthWood Golf Club will host the inaugural Grove Park Ladies Match Play Championship November 9 and 10.
 
The tournament format is two-person team match play contested over two days and four nine-hole matches. The entry fee of $150 per player includes two days of competitive golf, a pairings dinner, box lunches, a wine and cheese cocktail party, tee gifts, door prizes and an awards luncheon.
 
Admission is limited to the first 48 teams to register, and all women must have a USGA handicap to enter. Ladies will play from SouthWood's No. 2 green tees, which measure 4,978 yards with a slope of 111 and course rating off 69.9. The final round, "Championship Shootout" begins at about 1:30 p.m. Nov. 10.
