Taylor has a long and distinguished history in golf course management in Middle Tennessee. Most recently, he was vice president of golf at Fairvue Plantation, where he was responsible for the launch and post-opening operations of one of Nashville’s most successful golf club communities.
At Westhaven, Taylor will be responsible for all aspects of course operations and management, community, resident and member outreach, and positioning the course as one of the region’s superior private club experiences.
“It’s incredibly exciting to be involved with a company as dedicated to creating heirloom quality neighborhoods as Southern Land Company,” Taylor said. “All of the design and attention to detail that distinguishes Westhaven will be showcased at the Club. This course has the potential to be one of the finest in Middle Tennessee.”
Taylor’s golf experience dates back to working as a school-age caddie at the Richland Country Club in Nashville, where he was promoted to golf shop attendant and assistant golf professional.
From 1992 to 1995, Taylor served in a number of positions at Franklin’s Legends Club of TN, including Golf Professional. From 1995 to 2000, Taylor was VP of Green Links – a private firm that specialized in the rehabilitation of country club properties.
“We feel both fortunate and proud to have Glynn leading our golf club program,” says Brian Sewell, executive vice president of community development. “We believe his qualifications and extensive management experience is exactly what we need to continue our wonderful momentum through opening and for many years to come”.
