Skylinks at Long Beach adds ProLink GPS

The system is expected to improve pace of play and add revenue.

Skylinks at Long Beach (Calif.) has added the ProLink Solutions GPS system and plans to participate in ProLink’s national advertising opportunity.

“Golf is a more enjoyable game when you’ve got accurate yardage and expert guidance at your fingertips, and that’s what the ProLink system provides our players,” says Rick Crowder, General Manager at Skylinks. “We see noticeable pace-of-play improvements and can easily marshal the entire course right from the clubhouse. ProLink’s biggest benefit to us is the extra revenue generated from food-and-beverage sales, additional tournament play, and the advertising program.”

With ProLink’s 10.4-inch high-resolution color screen, Skylinks’ cart-mounted units display easy-to-read graphics including distances to the pin and hazards, pro tips, pace-of-play timer and radial arc for cart-path-only holes. Golfers at Skylinks will also be able to order food and beverage items on the ProLink screen.
